Bee-Plane medium range aircraft with detachable fuselage
Beeplane is a collaborative project that includes acamedic partners and also industrial manufacturers. Target is to developp a medium range aircraft with detachable fuselage.
The upper structure is a complete aircraft with engines, cockpit, wings and landing gear. It is called the Bee.
The detachable fuselage is called the basket, as a bee transporting a pollen basket. The detachable fuselage can have modular usage. The passenger configuration is able to transport passengers. There is also configurations for civil forces, as an hospital.
BeePlane allow new usage on air transportation. It decrease carbon footprint of the aircraft industry by reducing impact compared to regular aircrafts and by improving turn rate of the technical part of the aircraft (especially engines).
